In December of 2009, actress Anne Heche died suddenly and without a will.

Her only son, Homer, immediately filed to gain control of the estate.

At first it was unclear if there were any other heirs, but after a few months it was revealed that Anne had a sister, Charity.

Both Homer and Charity fought for control of the estate, with Homer claiming that because he was the only child, he should be the one in charge.

Eventually the two came to an agreement that they would share control of the estate.
